Stone Poets

Become a Patron

Hello dear friends.

You may have heard that we’re writing our new album “Human” right now. Sadly we didn’t get accepted for a grant for the album, so we’re looking for inventive ways to fund the project.

With the pandemic, all our shows were cancelled in 2020, we missed out on some very cool festivals, venues and private shows. That money would have gone into producing the new album.

So if you’d like to help out, we added a page on this site that tells you how.

The fun will begin if you become a Patron, that way you’ll get a behind the scene look at the process and the journey. www.patreon.com/stonepoets

You can also make a donation on our paypal page or by email. Follow this link, for those links. http://www.stonepoets.ca/support-stone-poets/

Thank you so much for being in our lives. Please stay safe, much love Cherelle, Marc and Scott.

Wear a Mask

Stone Poets felt compelled to write and record, “Wear a Mask”.
When the Covid 19 pandemic hit, all their live concerts were cancelled, which included festivals, venues and private shows.  Hot off an eastern Canadian tour in the fall, their career was stopped in its tracks.

After months of social isolating and listening to health department regulations, Cherelle, Marc and Scott grew weary of watching social media and news channels showing people not wearing masks and participating in “freedom rallies”, so they decided to use their platform in the music industry, write and record, “Wear a Mask”, and put together a fun video to inspire others to wear a mask.”We wanna get back to the way life used to be”, Cherelle sings…The song is a step outside their usual genre but they wanted to write an upbeat, danceable song to get the message across to mass appeal.

Recorded with Sheldon Zaharko at Zed Productions, Juno nominated Producer/Engineer and Winner of the West Coast Music Award for Engineer of the year, Marc Gladstone, keyboardist in the Canadian band Prism along with bandmates Cherelle and Scott.
Adding the pop/funk flavour to the track is guest artist, internationally renowned guitarist Brian Poulsen The video was put together with friends and fans that sent in their photos to support the message.
“It’s such a simple task … please wear a mask.”

Stone Poets new music.

Hello dear friends.

We are all going through a difficult time right now and we want to let you know that we are sending you our love. All we as a band can do is continue to write new music. Live performance is gone … for now, but not forever.

Keep watching our social media pages for upcoming news.

In the meantime, if you can share our band with your family and friends, we would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for continuing to support Stone Poets. We will never stop creating and sharing our music with you.

Love Cherelle, Marc and Scott.

Keeping our spirits high

Hello dear friends. We are reaching out to see if you are all doing okay. As you know, all of our shows are cancelled, due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Stone Poets are doing our part to isolate. Marc and I (Cherelle) returned from our trip to Mexico and have been in isolation for 10 days now. We’ve been keeping busy putting up some live performance videos, as we live together so are able to. You can find them on Facebook under both our pages.

As soon as we can, Stone Poets will be together again, performing music for you. For now, we’re face-timing with Scotty J, cause we miss him. It’s like going through withdrawal.

We are working on 4 new songs and can’t wait to get them out to you soon.

Stay safe everyone, isolate as much as you can and to the front line workers, our doctors, nurses, health care providers, grocery clerks, truck drivers, police and firemen and women … and anyone else working in essential services, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Love Cherelle, Marc and Scott.
